26 | Jean-Pierre FRUIT

           La bête curieuse 2
           50 x 70

Reflecting his culture and his engaging and cordial by the presence of precious and novel colours, such
personality, Jean-Pierre FRUIT thoroughly immersed as the impalpable light that traverses and ennobles
himself in the resources of matter and colour in or- stained-glass windows. But Jean-Pierre FRUIT is no
der to create superb compositions. And these stem less innovative with his motifs traced in oil pastel and
from a constant search of natural themes that are paint on the same support. These pieces are criss-
of a perfectly linear and fine realism. Consequently, crossed with an interlacing of meticulous and elegant
the mark of his mind reveals itself, and it is one of nuances. And that’s not forgetting his surprising sub-
generous but also bold grace. The artist masters a jects where the subtle strokes of lead fuse with the
moving echo that is built upon a formal elevation as skillfully ruffled and immaculate white paper or har-
well as fine networks, which in turn are accentuated rowing bas-reliefs.
                                                                                       André RUELLAN, Art Critic
