Alors que la 45 FIAC, enjeu important pour les artistes français lauréats du prix Marcel Du-
champ et en quête d’une reconnaissance internationale, vient de fermer ses portes, qu’en
est-il aujourd’hui de l’Art contemporain, et comment le néophyte tout comme le féru d’art,
amateur ou collectionneur, peut-il appréhender la singularité de la création d’un peintre ou
d’un sculpteur ?

Plus que jamais, l’expression artistique est marquée par une très grande spontanéité. La
liberté de création est devenue de façon incontournable une juste revendication, et quelle
que soit son approche stylistique, l’artiste nous transmet sa propre vision du monde.

Ce qui importe réellement, lorsque l’on s’attarde sur une œuvre, c’est ce qui nous attire
en elle et nous séduit naturellement, et ce qu’elle est capable de faire résonner en nous.

Cette brochure a pour objectif de présenter, à travers la sélection de vingt peintres et
sculpteurs, reconnus pour certains à l’échelon national, voire international, la variété et

l’originalité de la création de ce début de xxi siècle.

Laissons-nous emporter et séduire, car l’art restera toujours une affaire de goût et de pas-
sion !

As the 45 edition of the FIAC international art fair draws to a close, and the Marcel Du-
th
champ Prize is awarded to a select few French artists seeking recognition on the interna-
tional stage, where does this leave Contemporary Art today, and how can both the novice
and art enthusiast, whether amateur or collector, determine the uniqueness of a painter or
sculptor’s creation?

More than ever, artistic expression is characterised by an immense spontaneity. Creative
freedom has inevitably become a legitimate demand, and whatever the stylistic approach,
the artist conveys their own world vision.

When contemplating a work of art, what really matters is the attraction and appeal that it
naturally holds for us, and the feelings it is able to stir within.
The aim of this catalogue is to present a selection of twenty painters and sculptors, some of
whom have attained national and even international renown, who represent the variety and
originality of creation in this early 21 century.

Let us allow ourselves to be swept away and seduced, for art will always be about taste and
passion!
